WITH MAJOR FESTIVAL APPEARANCES AT ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL MARCH 26
AND COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL APRIL 18
INFECTED MUSHROOM have announced their participation in this year’s official Record Store Day with the exclusive import of the Killing Time Remix EP, a five-song collection of brand new versions of the track “Killing Time” from their latest album LEGEND OF THE BLACK SHAWARMA. Featuring hypnotic vocals from alt-rock trailblazer Perry Farrell, “Killing Time” is a bare, slow-burning anthem that epitomizes INFECTED MUSHROOM’s brand of electronic rock, mixing heavy synths and digitized drums.
The Killing Time EP features remixes from music giant Paul Oakenfold (whose Perfecto Records released Legend of the Black Shawarma), Israeli psy-trance artist Astrix, English trance producer John “00” Fleming, and INFECTED MUSHROOM themselves. The EP, an exclusive import from the band’s native Israel, will be available at numerous independent record stores participating in Record Store Day Saturday, April 17, a day before the band is set to take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, where they will appear in the Sahara tent (INFECTED MUSHROOM also appeared at Coachella in 2007). On the touring front, INFECTED MUSHROOM recently appeared in their hometown of Tel Aviv, Israel, performing a massive show with special guest Matisyahu. Duv and Erez collaborated with him on a stunning new remix of the track “One Day,” which has charted in the Top 5 in Israel for the last five weeks (hitting #1 for three of those). The concert was broadcast live over Ynet.com, where over 500,000 people worldwide logged on to watch. To view the performance, visit: http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3848068,00.html (Matisyahu comes onstage around the 7:15 mark). Following their Tel Aviv spectacular, the band—once again joined by Matisyahu—returned stateside where they sold out Insomniac’s Awakening event at LA’s legendary venue, the Hollywood Palladium. Prior to their Record Store Day release and appearance at Coachella, INFECTED MUSHROOM is slated to return to Miami, FL, for a high-profile performance at the Ultra Music Festival on Friday, March 26. For all their shows, the Israel-bred, Southern California-based outfit—Amit “Duvdev” Duvedevani (vocals), Erez Eisen (keyboards), Rogerio Jardim (drums) and Tom Cunningham (guitar)—promise an intense live experience, highlighting songs from the new album, plus material from their previous seven releases.

About Infected Mushroom:
Psy-Trance innovators INFECTED MUSHROOM have become one of the biggest electronic bands on the planet. Twice ranked among the world’s 10 best DJs by the bible of the scene, the U.K.’s DJ Magazine, the Israel-bred, L.A.-based duo bring a frenetic rock energy to the form. Their explosive show, featuring guitars, live drums, intensely passionate vocals and an ambitious multimedia backdrop, ranks among the genre’s most unpredictably joyous events. And their recordings continually venture where other electronic acts fear to tread. Amit “Duvdev” Duvedevani and Erez Eisen worked for nearly two years on their aggressive new album, LEGEND OF THE BLACK SHAWARMA, their first since 2007’s critically acclaimed Vicious Delicious, for dance-music visionary Paul Oakenfold¹s Perfecto label. Duvdev describes the album, recorded at INFECTED MUSHROOM Laboratory in L.A. and in stores now, as a return to the pair’s metal roots. Guests on the album include Jonathan Davis of Korn and Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction.
About Record Store Day:
The original idea for Record Store Day was conceived by Chris Brown, and was founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner as a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the U.S.A., and hundreds of similar stores internationally. This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, DJs spinning records and on and on. Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in San Francisco on April 19, 2008 and Record Store Day is now celebrating the third Saturday every April. Record Store Day is currently managed by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Scott Register, and Carrie Colliton.
